Help for tutors

Tap Become a teacher or sign up with the Tutor role. Enter your presentation, subjects (limited to two active subjects per profile), levels, availability and rates in FCFA.

Upload ID and supporting documents; Khishango reviews your application before activating your public profile.

Once approved, your profile appears in search. Payments for sessions booked through Khishango must go exclusively through the Platform (no off-platform payment, Terms art. 4).

Validation includes identity, credentials and a clear presentation text.

You receive an email when approved or if corrections are needed.

The Verified Teacher badge builds trust and improves visibility.

Set a whole-number hourly rate in FCFA (recommended minimum: 1,000 FCFA/h depending on subject and experience).

State clearly what's included (materials, travel) in your description.

Adjust your rate from Profile → Course offer.

New requests appear in Messages and Planning. You have three (3) hours to accept or decline.

Only accept if payment has been confirmed by Khishango. Confirm location or video link in messaging.

You may cancel a confirmed session only more than three (3) hours before start, stating a reason in the allowed categories.

Mark the session as completed after the lesson to trigger validation and payout flow (Terms, art. 11).

Set availability in Planning so students book at the right times.

Block unavailable periods (exams, holidays) in advance.

All times are in Cameroon time (WAT).

The student or parent pays for the session via CinetPay through the Platform flow.

Khishango deducts a fifteen percent (15%) commission; you receive the net amount (session minus commission) after session validation.

Teacher payouts are made up to two times per month according to the schedule communicated on the Platform. Payouts may be held during disputes or anti-fraud review.
